Sachs Set to Rewrite Affleck's ARK

Most writers would normally be upset if another screenwriter was hired to rewrite their spec. Not Casey Affleck. He's on board hiring scribe Adam Sachs to rewrite the fantasy Aardvark Art's Ark, a story that writer-producer Affleck has been developing for two years. Donald De Line and original writer-star Casey Affleck are still on board to produce the Warner Bros. film and will be working with Sachs onpolishing a new draft for the project.

"He had a really good energy," said Affleck, who will stay involved with the script's development despite his busy acting schedule. "It's hard to tell what someone's going to write based on how they describe a script or story or a character. That said, here was a guy who seemed to really like the things that I liked about it, and he thought the same things were funny that I thought were funny about the story and about the characters."

Plot Concept: The story of a group of animals who are stranded when they are not chosen to go on Noah's ark.

A kid's movie if ever there was one, and that being the case I guess it has some potential.

This does sound like a great CG film for kids. I wonder if they do mean the unchosen animals are all the mythilogical ones?

Are we talking about the biblical Ark? Or a modern day new Ark? And again, supposed mythological animals that don't make it? Or is it just horses that aren't chosen as one of the 2-by-2 horses?
