YAY YAY YAY This disc has a big enhance on the plot YAY
I first watched all 6 episodes in Japanese with English subtitles. I don't know why but the subtitles look blue on my player. They did not on my dad's player, which I also tested it on. They were yellow? I glanced the dub and most of the cast is OK (apart from Serena and Amy).
The packaging is a lovely shade of blue with a picture of Super Sailor Moon. The S in the Sailor Moon S logo is done in red foil and looks great of my shelf. If you want to reverse it then you get a nice pic of Sailor Pluto with her heart crystal. Sailor Pluto is also on the front of the disc. The insert features Sailor Uranus.
The menus feature Sailor Mercury. They are very well animated and easy to use. I think more companies should think about using similar menus. The extras feature a small rundown on Sailor Mercury/Ami with pictures. Once again we have an opening for the series that was never on the episodes?
CONTENT with loads of spoilers
The plot enhances almost immediately with all of the senshi discovering each other's identities. Sailor Moon transforms in front of Haruka and Michiru in order to save Minako from having her heart stolen by Eugeal. Minako wants to have her heart stolen to prove her purity. The next two episodes feature Eugeal now also in the know about Haruka and Michiru phones them saying that she has found the Talismans that they have been looking for. They rush for a showdown at a floating cathedral to find out that the first two talismans are in their pure hearts. Usagi witnesses this and Haruka tells her to protect the talismans before she passes away. Usagi chases after Eugeal who stole the talismans with her fire buster. Suddenly an 18-year-old woman comes in and transforms into Sailor Pluto. She has the third Talisman and triggers the other two to give out heart crystals to Haruka and Michiru and the Holy Grail appears. This allows Sailor Moon to turn into Super Sailor Moon for a showdown with Eugeal.
The next 3 episodes fall into formula with the new witch Mimette going after celebrities to use their pure hearts for energy. Chibi-usa also makes a new friend. Her name is Hotaru but there is one problem. Her farther is professor Tomoe of the death busters.
Loads of stuff happening as we enter a second arc. Recommended.
