Gankutsuou news. Licensed reconfirmed. The US title will be "The Count of Monte Cristo". October release. There will be four episodes on the first disc.
Geneon Japan will probably be making another major announcement regarding a title at mipcon. (Could not be confirmed whether this was a brand new series, a new license, or both. Supposedly a well known title. This is all the information that could be got out of the rep.)
There were no other new licenses.
Tenjho Tenge box was shown off, with the puzzle premium. Both the regular Appleseed and the LE case were shown off. The metal case is realy sweet and for those of you looking to save space, it should be noted that it's no bigger than a regular DVD case. The Kyo Kara Maoh premiums were also displayed.
The rest of the news before the Q&A was pretty much just running through a list of upcoming titles that have already been announced.
Someone asked about the TenTen CMX edits. The answer was that they're as dismayed as the fans, but that they don't have any influence with CMX.
The question about other media formats (PSP, DLs, etc.) was asked, but there are no current plans for such.
With regards to Viewiful Joe, they have no real control over the editing of the TV broadcast.
Jubei-chan 2 dub will be done by Ocean.
