The last I checked both Raimi and Nolan have directed movies with Katie Holmes.  Only one of these directors was smart enough to have Holmes topless.  It was Raimi's keen sense that told him Holmes couldnt act and that the only way for the audience to look past that is if Holmes took off her top.  Which she did and it was awesome.  I will always hold the gift of Holmes breasts in "The Gift" close to my heart.  Raimi all the way.

Rami Ash = Awesome

Rami also gave us Darkman when no one wanted him to direct a superhero movie, which was pretty damn good! 

I do like Nolan, but Rami changed the way people looked at a whole genre of movies....and you know that the Oldsmobile is going to show up in every movie that he makes....great inside joke.

My vote goes to Rami.

To Nolan's credit though...he has a very good eye for details, and his movies are very intelligent. I like the intensity that he brings to his pictures...I personally like The Prestige for that very reason. I'm not in the mood for that all of the time though, so again Rami has the advantage.

Bruce Campbell owns. Really, though, I'm a little shocked that Raimi gets the edge from so many on here. I love the guy and would gladly give him the nod, but I'm positive that I can't see past my bias. Figured bookending a pretty solid run with Memento and Dark Knight might put Nolan over the top. Glad to see Sam take a guided tour through Respeckistan, though. Still, I'm wondering why Joey Campbell didn't mention his turn as the bumbling summer camp sidekick Stick Coder in the 1993 classic Indian Summer. Clearly his most important contribution to date.
