That's the news coming out of Paramount on this Halloween holiday. Aussie actor Sam Worthington is in talks to star in the big screen adaptation of G.I JOE, says Variety. The actor's previous credits include Somersault, Hart's War and he's also set to star in Jame Cameron's Avatar 3-D. Like the Spider-Man 4 news from this morning, Paramount & Hasbro are equally under the gun for this project.
Paramount has hired three different writers to pen three different scripts so they can get this treatment polished before midnight tonight. Stuart Beattie (30 Days of Night), John Lee Hancock (The Alamo) and the writing team of Brian Koppelman and David Levien (The Winter of Frankie Machine) are all in charge of penning a script treatment.
