While talking to MTV Movies Blog, Samuel L. Jackson admits that he is Nick Fury, agent and director of Marvel's spy organization S.H.I.E.L.D. What he won't admit is that he's playing the movie in 'Iron Man' and/or 'Incredible Hulk', as has been widely rumored, or in any other movie for that matter.
MTV pressed Jackson on the matter, mentioning that Avi Arad had admitted to the 'Iron Man' cameo, the actor responded that Arad told him that no such admission occurred. Then MTV trotted out the video taped evidence of Arad spilling the beans:
“Well [then] am indeed Nick Fury,” Jackson finally admitted, officially confirming his role for the first time. “But I don’t know if I’m gonna be in ['Iron Man'] though.”
So you haven’t shot any scenes?
“I can’t tell you that!”
You won’t confirm?
“I won’t confirm!”
So is Sam Jackson playing Nick Fury in the summer Marvel movies as most fans now believe? Will he be Nick Fury in the planned 'Avengers' movie? Is he playing Nick Fury in a stand alone feature? Or does the actor simply believe that he is Nick Fury in flesh and blood?
The game continues.
