Samurai X Vol. #1

What They Say

The Review!
Siren has been the last hope for anime in Australia. so it is good news that Siren has started to release DVD's under its Madman label.

Samurai X - Trust is a good example of this. Using the ADV master of the basis for their release, Madman has released a Region 4/2 PAL version (which would be playable to European and Australian / New Zealand DVD players).

The PAL version is as clean and crisp as any NTSC version I have seen, and is well priced at around A$35 (compared to American imports that can cost around $A60).

There is both English and Japanese soundtracks on this disk (a real bonus due to the inability to get Subbed anime from local producers), with the only problem that it has 2 episodes on the disk (ADV strikes again HARRAH!), which is annoying considering the amount of episodes DVD can contain. Apart from that however, Samurai X - Trust is great value for Australian Otaku, and I hope that Siren can continue with their excellent work.
