From the Vault: Lesser known Christmas Classics (Article) - 12/9/2012 7:56:14 PM

Its Christmas, I just keep watching Die Hard and Batman Returns.

Hugh Laurie for Crossbones Pirate Series (Article) - 11/23/2012 6:19:28 AM

Yeah,I thought it was the worst casting a Marvel movie yet. Lol. You KNOW they wrote the headline that way on purpose.

Extended Man of Steel Trailer (Article) - 11/21/2012 4:42:20 AM

Meh. Not much to get overly excited about here, but trailer quality rarely reflects movie quality. Casting seems solid, Snyder is batting .500 so it could go either way. Agree with Tevii, Nolan is a detriment to the new DC movie series. Stop trying to be a film, be a damn comic book movie.

10 Actors We Want in Star Wars Episode VII (Article) - 11/20/2012 5:17:16 AM

Couldn't disagree more. While the old classically trained British Actor has become a staple of the Star Wars films, the only reason they were there in the first place was because the studio wouldn't let George cast all unknowns, he had to have a known actor in there somewhere. Not the case anymore, so why not go with all new faces that can really make the roles their own? As cool as Sam Jackson is, he had no business being in Star Wars, and neither does half this list. Joseph Gordon Levitt?? Really???Come on people, lets put away the Hollywood hot-list and show some real creativity.

10 Box Sets for Geeks and Movie Fans (Article) - 11/19/2012 4:13:22 PM

re: Watchmen box set (sort of). Am I the only one who still gets annoyed when comics like the Watchmen are referred to as a graphic novel? It is not, nor was it ever,a  graphic novel. It was a 12 issue limited series comic book. Nothing more. Every collected edition of it is a trade paperback, a trade collection, or what have you. Nitpicking, i know, but that shit has always bothered me. In a world where comic books have become the source of so much pop culture, can't we please just get it right? For those of you that really dont know the difference, a graphic novel is an ORIGINAL work, a collection of previously published comics is just that, a collection, something to read in the bathroom so you dont wreck your original copies. Nuff said.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey TV Spot 2 (Article) - 10/29/2012 9:25:33 AM

 HFR 3D. It's about time!

Brad Pitt for 20,000 LEAGUES (Article) - 10/19/2012 5:50:38 AM

As long as its not Depp. "The studio wants Charlton Heston to play a Mexican."

New Django Unchained Character Banners (Article) - 10/19/2012 5:47:31 AM

It's not even out yet and I can already review it. " While Django Unchained featured some interesting characters and more than one cool momoligue, Director Tarantino once again proves that he just can't recapture the magic of his masterpiece Pulp Fiction, no matter how much bad language, violence, and funky music he uses. " Betcha didn't know I was psychic, did you fellow Maniacs?

RoboCop and Elysium Change Dates (Article) - 10/19/2012 5:38:59 AM

It's kind of a shame to see Michael Keaton go from one of Hollywoods best actors (just my opinion) to being black balled all the way down to taking roles House didn't want, and the February release doesn't help the comeback he so richly deserves and is so unjustly robbed of. All because Warner wouldn't give him 10 mil for what he probably knew was going to be a shitty Burton-less Batman 3. F you Warners and F you Burton, your movies suck now anyway. Wait, what were we talking about?

Justice League for 2015 (Article) - 10/19/2012 5:28:27 AM

Avengers 2 shouldn't be a problem for the League. As huge as it was, it wasn't a movie starring Spider-Man ,Wolverine, and Marvels other top players. Justice League IS. Avengers NEEDED solo movies first so that joe public could know who half of the team even were, Justice League doesn't have that problem. It's Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. The audience is already there.
