About Me:
I remember when Mania was called Cinescape. And it wasn't a website, it was a magazine I used to pay good money for. Lifelong comic book/superhero fanatic. I generally dislike live action comic book movies. Notable exceptions: Blade, Batman/Returns/Begins, Superman 1&2,Swamp Thing, Punisher War Zone(seriously), The Phantom, Iron Man,The Crow,The Rocketeer, Sin City and probably a few more im not thinking of right now. I like the usual filmmakers of the last 25 years, but feel its always their early films, when they were young and hungry that I enjoy the most. Lets face it, Lucas, Spielberg, Burton, your movies suck now. And I have my eye on you as well Raimi. I'm also a supporter of 3-D, think its the best reason to go to the theater now, since movies pretty much all suck these days at least it should look cool. Most disappointing movies ever? The Phantom Menace, The Dark Knight, and G.I.Joe. Worst movie ever? probably Bay's Transformers. Still read and enjoy comics, though nowadays I mostly follow writers I like as they move from book to book as opposed to reading any particular title religiously. I have probably, I dont know, 5-10,000 comic books on hand, so its safe to say I'm a serious reader. In the old days it was always about Claremont, Hama, Miller and Moore. Now its Whedon, Straczynski, Millar and Brubaker. Still watch alot of cartoons, Battle of the Planets and Batman:TAS will always be tops. Though Im really enjoying Brave and the Bold these days. South Park is just about the only show still in production I cannot miss, and when im not doing all these things, im on my 360 gaming it up. And if theres any time left over I go to work or call my girl, but you know, theres not alot of time left over.
dude I'm with ya. I don't know whats up with people these days. They act like they have stock in WB on returns for The Dark Knight. They get excited to see numbers come back for it and get all pissy like little a holes when someone doesnt like it. I for one liked the first one but was sorely dissapointed in the acting job of heath as the joker and at the idea that it's set up in a "realistic" world. It's not it's a farging comic movie and should'nt be sooooo damn serious. seriously...WHY SO SERIOUS? and the joker probably just need a drink of water and he wouldnt have gone all ape sh!t. He had cotton mouth all the way through the 2 hour snooze fest.
