20th straight Con for me coming up.  Bam!

Great article Rob. Definitely print-worthy b/c I ALWAYS forget something. I am psyched to pick up my toy exclusives and just enjoy the Con atmosphere b/c it is really a very cool place to be and everyone is very friendly. I definitely am a little nervous about the crowds and tightness of getting by people b/c of how quickly it sold out this year. In all  my years of attending, I have never gone to any of the major halls to see any of the panels. Frankly I don't even know how it works. If you guys know, give me a clue b/c I feel like I miss out on some of the people I would love to see speak live & in person...

good tips i will when i ever attend comic con put most of them to good use including shipping the exclusives and not carrying such a big bag of stuff. plus the one about good shoes and causing some good karma.

Holy crap!  You mean I now live in the same state as TheMovieGuy?!  That kind of unnerves me...  :)

Just kidding TMG.  I've never actually been to California yet (hope to remedy that before too long), but I suspect there is a bit of a culture difference between the west coast and the Deep South.  (But I really didn't need to say that, did I?)

Still steamed I'm not going to SDCC this year.  However, SDCC 2012 - I'll be there!

 SDCC is not really kid friendly IMO, so that is another piece of advice if you were thinking of taking the whole family.  By kid friendly, I mean 3-6 year olds.  It's a$$holes to elbows inside there and having small children becomes a chore.  Great time otherwise though and I'll make my third trip either in 2012 or 2013.

dalgoda, Awesome point. I don't have kids but I see the nightmare that it is. I think little kids 6 and under at any con is foolish, especially at Comic Con. They are too small and it is way too crowded. I once saw a kid take a toy from a dealers box and walk off with it. He didn't know any better and the dad was dumbfounded as to where he got it. Sunday is family day but for serious conventioneers it is the lamest of allthe days.
