Nice. I'd like to pick this up. Seeing how it' Dark Horse publishing it I won't even be breaking my Marvel boycott. How is it that Dark Horse came to publishing Marvel back issues?

yo Joey, DH acquired the license to Conan and therefore has the right to publish everything and all things Conan. Even though these stories were first published by Marvel, Marvel had that right in the 70's, and hence the buck is passed forward.

Ah. I had no idea that's how the licensing for that property worked. Interesting. Wonder if that's exclusive to their deal on Conan. Could Dark Horse reprint Marvel's old Star Wars run? Thanks supercollector!

joeybaloney, Dark Horse did reprint all of Marvel's Star Wars in giant TPB form. It is anwesome collection. I think there are 12 books?

At this price with this much material you can't go wrong. If memory serves each issue of Savage Sword was at least twice the length of a regular comic. Beyond that the artwork was lightyears ahead of its time. All told there were 235 SS of Conan's with a few annuals thrown in. These trades could (and should) go on for a while.

Raul..right you are. Sometimes the mag would be a full length conan story. Other times there would be backup features of King Kull, and other S & S characters. i think it was the most consistently well-drawn book of the 70's.
