In an expected move, Lionsgate Entertainment has announced that Saw 3 will hit theaters on October 31.

The movie is expected to have a large publicity campaign and a special director's cud DVD package will release earlier in October.

Saw 3 is currently shooting in Toronto and should finish at the end of June or early July. The budget is north of $10 million, a substantial increase over the previous films.

I'd like to see someone turn the tables on Jigsaw; maybe the girl he took under his wing in Saw II. She strings him along and then sets her own trap for him.

Iracors, I don't know, but someone needs a manicure!

Its crazy how they seemingly churn out this series so quickly. The thing is, they aren`t bad flicks. I still like the 1st one better than 2, but it still had great shock and gore value. It will be interesting to see the premise for this third installment.

I just watched Saw and Saw II yesterday for the first time, and I have to say I liked them quite a bit...for what they were: creepy and gory but anyone looking for a movie to actually be scary...well, they won't find it here (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but these films are not scary).

Also, wessmith, I thought for sure that Jigsaw was dead in the van at the end of 2...did I see that wrong?

I thought I remember him dying, too, at the end of the second one. However, They are currently filming in Toronto (have been since May 1) and the actor who plays Jigsaw is present... so I dunno.

#5 - Yeah, but is any villain in a horror movie ever REALLY dead? ;-)

Answer - Not if the box office take is good!

Well they'll probably have flashbacks or something

I'm surprised Cinescape put up that fake poster. It's just the Saw 2 poster with the first finger copied and flipped around. The tagline gives it away, too.
