Twisted Pictures and Lions Gate Films have decided to strike while the poker is hot and have announced the theatrical release date of the latest in the SAW franchise. SAW III is set to buzz into theaters on October 27 and will be directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (SAW II), with story yet again by Leigh Whannell and James Wan and screenplay by Whannell. The SAW franchise, about a psychotic genius that puts his victims in death traps in an effort to teach them life lessons, has already generated nearly 250 million dollars at the worldwide box office.

Alright seriously who didnt expect to see a Saw 3 in theaters this October? Personally i enjoyed the second one more then the first. But they are going to run this franchise in the ground it seems. Strike while the iron is hot? How about going out on top? Then again probably not the best business sense huh.

All right, they've been pretty good so far. I can handle this. But if we get to Saw VII I am personally going to raze Holywood to the ground.

The Saw movies are fun for what they are, but can they keep the films fun and fresh? I tend to doubt it, but I'll see part III I'm sure.

Should be called Gore III

Yeah Iracors, good idea with Gore III. A psychotic genius that puts Al Gore in death traps in an effort to teach them life lessons. I would pay to see that.

Mehhhh...I mean I sorta liked the first one, but the second one felt all wrong. I think the third one which probably won't have the deep voiced Jigsaw might suffer a bit. Maybe if they throw in more cowbell it might be cool.

Frankly visually, the title "SAW VVV" would seem to be more appropriate. ;)
