Jason Lethcoe's black-and-white comic book ZOOM'S ACADEMY FOR THE SUPER GIFTED has been optioned by Revolution Studios as a possible feature film. Producers Suzanne and Jennifer Todd (MEMENTO) will be developing the project as a live-action vehicle. The ladies will also be joined by Nick Osbourne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films.

The first issue of ZOOM'S ACADEMY was released in 2001 by Astonish Comics, the same company that published Mike Kunkel's HEROBEAR AND THE KID, currently in development as an animated film at Universal Pictures. Perhaps best described as part HARRY POTTER, part X-MEN, the story is about a unpopular high school girl named Summer Jones who discovers one day that her dad, Jasper, is really a superhero. Summer's dad tells her that she may also have superpowers and so she needs to go to Zoom's Academy, a superhero school, to develop her potential. However, as she soon finds out, there are some family secrets being kept by dear old dad that complicate life for Summer and for the other students at Zoom's Academy.

A screenwriter is being sought to develop the project.
