I almost thought it was joke but there the story was as clear as day. The former Governor of California and action star will return to the role of Conan the Barbarian. After 30 years Arnold Schwarzenegger will return as Robert E. Howard’s character in "The Legend of Conan."
Arnold had this to say: "I always loved the Conan character and I'm honored to be asked to step into the role once again," Arnold tells Deadline. "I can't wait to work with Universal and the great team of Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan to develop the next step of this truly epic story."
Fredrik Malmberg had this to say about the next Conan film: “The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make. It's that Nordic Viking mythic guy who has played the role of king, warrior, soldier and mercenary, and who has bedded more women than anyone, nearing the last cycle of his life. He knows he'll be going to Valhalla, and wants to go out with a good battle."
Personally, I always loved that final moment of Conan where the lonely old warrior sat on his throne. It always looked as if he got everything he was promised and learned it wasn’t enough.
What do you think Maniacs? Has Arnold got one more in him? Or is he too old for this shit?
Thanks to Moz72 for the submission.
