Sounds awesome, wish they would've called it Conan the conqueror!!!!

Not sure about the story but Conan of the Isles, written by L. Sprague De Camp and Lin Carter, feature a tale of Conan as King when he was in his mid-60s which is around what Arnold is now so I don't have a problem with that.  And anyone has got to be better than Jason Mamoa

Playing it as "old Conan" sounds like a great idea.  I think that this could really be a decent movie (and will help everyone forget about that Jason Momoa turd).

What a mess. This will suck, I am sure of it. *cries* I want them to do a Conan the barbarian series a la HBO's Game of Thrones that is as bad ass. Make it for adults and make it a series. No more movies.

I agree that this could be a really great idea.  No reason at all to doubt it just because of his age.  That's the f'n point.  It's like the third act of Beowulf as an elderly king once heroic, now beaten damn by the ages.  

I am surprised this seems to be getting made given the DOA of the Momoa movie last year.  I think Jason Momoa did okay given what he had to work with, which was absolutely nothing.  In the hands of halfway decent writer/director, I still think Momoa could have been really solid in the role.  Unfortunately he wasn't and we got that steamy pile last year.

I fully and wholeheartedly agree with you , except don't you want to see Conan become a respected literary character, like Holmes, Dracula and all those other characters who now reside in the public domain, or do you just want to see him as another franchise?

I just want to see someone make the PERFECT Conan movie, one day it might even actually happen, but not like this!

Now this, I can't wait to see, should be interesting.
