SCOOP: Characters for SKELETON KEY

On Monday of this week the news that Peter Sarsgaard had been the second known individual to be cast in Universal's new supernatural thriller SKELETON KEY was announced. Sarsgaard will play the love interest for Kate Hudson's character, a woman that experiences mysterious haunting-like events while working as a caretaker for an elderly couple in New Orleans.

We've been sent a list of characters for SKELETON KEY that the film's producers are hoping to cast shortly. As informed by our source, SKELETON KEY will begin shooting on April 12 in Louisiana.

The characters are:

PAPA JUSTIFY: Male, 30-50 years old, African American. We're told that the casting agent is looking for someone with a "great character face"

MAMA CECILE: Female, 30-50 years old, African American, a supporting role in the film.

MARTIN THORPE: Young male, 8-10 years old, Caucasian.

GRACE THORPE: Young female, 6-8 years old, Caucasian.

HALLIE: Female, 20-30 years old, African American.

BAYOU WOMAN: Female, 60-80 years old, Caucasian. Described as a "small, wizened woman wearing rags."

MAMA CYNTHIA: Female, 30-50 years old. Described as a "heavy set, dark-skinned Creole woman."
