SCOOP: A GRAND THEFT AUTO-like TERMINATOR game?

Two days ago Atari Games announced their plans for a new game based on TERMINATOR 3. Titled REDEMPTION, very little about the game's premise or storyline was offered except to say that it will offer gamers "an opportunity to experience the world of Terminator like never before -- they will go places and do things that have only been hinted at in the films."
According to our latest games scooper, the idea behind T3: REDEMPTION is that it's going to be like GRAND THEFT AUTO in the TERMINATOR universe. "Substitute Arnold for the leather-jacket GRAND THEFT dude...Arnold's face gets melted revealing his exo-skeleton, etc.," writes scooper Michael Stevens, who runs his own entertainment site at www.sneakpeek.ca. "Same GRAND THEFT animation, configurations, views, hand-to-hand fighting, blasting, stealing tanks, helicopters, etc. The thinking was that GRAND THEFT is too violent against 'people' so if they use robots, etc. it's all right."
As with all scoops we get that we cannot confirm, please remember that Atari has not released any additional information about the game at the present time. If Michael's right about the game interface for REDEMPTION, this is the first we've heard of it.
[Cyberdyne employee Michael Stevens doesn't know why his company doesn't offer stock incentives.]
