SCOOP: Is there an ER party being planned?

NBC's longest-running drama, ER, is about to enter its tenth season on the air. Over the course of the past decade the show has seen almost all of its original ensemble cast depart, with George Clooney going on to become an A-list actor in movies.

Now, according to this unverified scooper, we're told to believe that the producers of ER are planning an episode that would bring back some of the show's key players from the first five seasons -- among them Clooney and William H. Macy (Dr. Morgenstern.)

Bear in mind that unlike most of the scoops we receive, this one comes from completely out of the ether and from someone we've never heard from before. Since they don't have a track record with us we can't say for certain if what they're telling us is false or not. As long as you keep that in mind...

The scooper claims that Clooney was outside the ER soundstages today on the Warner Bros. lot. Supposedly, Clooney was reprising his character Dr. Doug Ross in a ten-minute party scene. According to the scooper, the episode in which this scene will be broadcast will serve as the official celebratory episode for ER making it ten seasons. Other actors will also appear in this episode but it's unknown who they may be. As was previously mentioned, Macy might make an appearance but other former regular cast members who could just as easily turn up include Eriq La Salle, Michael Michele and Julianne Margulies. And that's not even contemplating the supporting cast members that have starred on ER over the years.

Please note that this is the first mention of this unconfirmed rumor and no official word about any sort of appearance by former ER cast members has been made officially.
