SCOOP: Who's directing the new BODY SNATCHERS?

So Hollywood is making another INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHER movie. Producers Roy Lee and Doug Davison are developing a story centered around a woman in a small town who discovers the people around her are different -- different in not a good way.

The trades that picked up the story didn't mention any directors who might be circling the project, but according to one of our readers, Lee and Davison have someone in mind. Even better, the story goes that it was mentioned publically at last weekend's Frightfest in London.

After some searching on the Web, proof of the Frightfest was found. OK, so far so good. Now who's the director that was named?

Our scooper claimed that the Frightfest hosts said that none other than JEEPERS CREEPERS helmer Victor Salva was the man being picked to shoot the new BODY SNATCHERS.

For now it's just a rumor, one that I'll be trying to find confirmation or denial with shortly.
