SCOOP: Youngest AMITYVILLE HORROR member cast

We received an anonymous email sometime last night:

"Chloe Grace Moretz has landed the lead role of Missy Lutz in the AMITYVILLE HORROR remake. She is a newcomer who has already one independent film this summer and guest starred on THE GUARDIAN television show."

A quick check on our old friend, The Internet Movie Database, confirms Moretz's involvement with the new HORROR. She's also in the cast for HEART OF THE BEHOLDER, an independent film based on a St. Louis couple that owned a videostore and were the subject of a coordinated campaign by a religious group to remove films the members felt went against their personal beliefs.

The new version of THE AMITYVILLE HORROR stars Ryan Reynolds (BLADE: TRINITY), Melissa George and Jimmy Bennett, and tells the story of young family that is besieged with a haunting in their new dream home.
