There are still scenes to be shot for Universal's fast approaching THE SCORPION KING.

According to syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, filming will be finished up in the new year on the film starring Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. The Rock, as the title character. This is not reshooting of previously shot footage, though that could still happen. Instead, the footage that is to be shot are said to be battle scenes that weren't filmed due to scheduling around those unrealized potential strikes. It was determined that Johnson's wrestling obligations would allow the actor to return mid-January.

Filming will take place near Los Angeles. THE SCORPION KING is scheduled to hit theaters in April 2002.
