Scott Beatty Talks GOTHAM KNIGHTS
By: Rob AllstetterDate: Monday, October 29, 2001
Writer Scott Beatty will be joining current artist Roger Robinson on the creative team of BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS, tentatively with the 32nd issue of the DC Comics titles.
"I'm very much looking forward to exploring the possibilities with Bat-Editor Lysa Hawkins and penciler Roger Robinson," Beatty says.
Beatty has worked in the Bat-Universe before, teaming with Chuck Dixon on ROBIN: YEAR ONE and THE JOKER: LAST LAUGH. The two are also working on a BATGIRL: YEAR ONE mini-series for next year.
"I couldn't be happier than to have BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS lined up as my next assignment at DC Comics," Beatty says. "After making contributions to the Bat-Universe on a 'hit-and-run' basis for a few years now, it's nice to settle down in Gotham City for what I hope is a lengthy stay.
"And the 'team' focus of GK affords me the opportunity to tell a variety of tales: Batman solo or Batman and Robin or Robin and Nightwing...or the whole Bat-Squad. GOTHAM KNIGHTS offers almost limitless permutations."
