hmmm... I had sworn to myself to not see this film. Now I'm kind of tempted. I'm glad to see Patterson getting some feature film work, especially now that GG will probably end this season. I hope it works out for him.

I'm an unabashed fan of the Saw series but I really did think that it should have ended in Saw 3. I think it perfectly book-ended it as the third film of a horror movie. Saw basically follows all the conventions of a horror film franchise as stated by Randy in Scream heh. But I guess I'll watch this too when it comes out.

I take SAW for what it is, so I'll see this.

madmanic, i agree. Saw is functional and entertaining horror, so I'll see this. The films are much better than alot of other crap being pushed out right now, I just hope they get back to the quality of I and II, I thought III was a little weaker.

Leigh Whannell and James Wan aren't even writing this one? Wow, I just went from not caring to see to refusing to see it.

Gilmore Girls will not end this season.

I think it is about 75% likely that this is the last season of Gilmore Girls.

1 - The show's creators left last season, but the stars were contracted for one more - hence why it didn't end with them leaving.
2 - Graham and Bledel have both stated several times they want to move on.
3 - Fan reaction and ratings have gone down with the new guy in control
4 - Several of the cast have occasionally commented about how unhappy they are with things.
5 - They gave Graham a producer credit this season. Like giving Holly Marie Combs one for Charmed or Jason Priestly one for 90210 - the shows lasted a little longer with their chief character, but you could see those stars only doing it for the money after that point.
6 - From what I can find, contract talks with some of the cast (at least Bledel) have failed.

It's a fairly safe bet that GG is done after this season, unless they ditch characters and try a 7th Heaven "hail mary" - which failed. GG with a dissatisfied Graham, and missing several key cast members (like Bledel) would maybe peter through another couple seasons.

bdd, from what I have read, Bledel doesn't want to return for another season. CW was going to do a Rory-less season but Graham said that if Bledel isn't in it, neither will she. Have you read something different? I got my info from Spoilerfix.com
