No SCREAM for Neve

By: News Editor
Date: Sunday, September 11, 2005
Source: Moviehole

Moviehole is reporting that Neve Campbell will not be returning to SCREAM 4 despite her talks with the Weinstein Co.

The site is reporting though that the Arquettes will most likely return as Gail and Dewey. Apparently, Wes Craven will not be involved. And there is no word yet about Kevin Williamson's involvement.

The whole project is in the extremely early stages of development.

No Neve Campbell... No Wes Craven... Very unlikely that Kevin will be involved.

What the hell is the point, then?!

There is none. No point at all. A flop in the making.

bcolbymartin - you said it. Will Hollywood take the hint? no.

Yep, Hollywood doesn't care if it's good film...they only care about the money, and crappy horror films have been making loads of dough for decades. I.E. Nightmare on Elm St, Friday the 13th, The Grudge, House Wax...I really love it when Hollywood cries piracy while they make record profit after record profit. Now this year, after the boatload of manure they've foisted on the public, the pirates have really taken their toll...YEAH RIGHT!

People will watch this because of the Scream name. I was a fan of the previous movies but this really isn't needed. Scream 2 and 3, although I did like them, were stretching it.

...hopefully this will fall apart very soon.

Even if all these people were involved, it would not a good movie make. Granted it may of been better, but, to me, there is no reason to even consider making another Scream film. It has passed it expiration date, and like 2 week old milk, should be thrown away. HOLLYWOOD,this is your conscience, STOP REHASHING OLD IDEAS AND COME UP WITH SOMETHING ORIGINAL. STOP DESTROYING MY FAVORITE ART FORM.

I've enjoyed all of the cream movies, but enjoyed them less with each sequel. Unless they would throw a real curve and make Neve's character the new killer, I think I'd pass on the film on the big screen and wait until it came to cable. I think making Sydney the killer would be awesome and could make for some great visuals and an exciting movie.

Isn't making Sydney at this point kind of silly? It is sort of like the last idea they haven't tried yet, so lets see what happens.
There is an expression: "One too many trips to the well."

Scream 3 was one of the most ridiculous movies I've ever seen...I wouldn't touch a 4th with a 10-ft pole!!!!!!
