The SCREEN ACTOR GUILD Nominations Are...

This particular award show may end up ultimately being the award show for 2007 films and television shows. As you know, the WGA denied requests for waivers to the Globes and Oscars. In fact, the WGA plans to picket the Globes, which has a lot of insiders wondering if anyone nominated for a Globe would even show up i.e "cross the picket lines" to accept the trophy. The SAG & DGA (two unions who will enter negotiations next with AMPTP) are very much on the side of the WGA here so it seems to be questionable how many actors, directors, etc would want to cross any picket line for those two particular award ceremonies..

Which brings us back to the SAG Awards, one of two shows that did get waivers from the WGA. The nominations for the show, set to air on TBS & TNT on January 27, have been announced and they are...

Michael Keaton: Blackballed by Hollywood because he turned down the turd that was Batman Forever. Nice to see him nominated. Hopefully this will jumpstart a comeback for him.

And the winner is Kiefer Sutherland for "24 days in a drunk tank".

Kiefer: I would just like....hick....to thank the academy....hick

Script Supervisor: PSST! This isn't the oscars!

Kiefer: It's not?[projectile vomit onto the audience]

Ed Begley, Jr., the host: Kiefer Sutherland, everybody!

Not a single nominee from BSG?! James Callis is one of the greatest actors I've ever seen! This is bull. Heroes has easliy the worst acting on any show I've ever seen! Rome, 24, Lost don't even compare in acting range and ability. The people who made these decisions are losers for just following popularity!
