Scribe David Goyer has given his take on the chances that Nicolas Cage might still be playing the title role in the GHOST RIDER movie, and it isn't good.
While talking to Comics2Film, the film's scribe expressed his opinion on the matter, saying, "I think that Cage is definitely out of GHOST RIDER. The whole thing has been a huge disappointment. We were ready to go and then a slew of stupid complications ground things to a halt."
Based on the Marvel comic book series, GHOST RIDER previously been one of the fastest developing comic to movie properties. That all seemed to have ground to a halt when director Stephen Norrington ankled the production to take the directing gig for the Jennifer Lopez action starrer TICK-TOCK.
Ironically, TICK-TOCK was pulled off track for retooling due to issues of sensitivity in relation to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
