Writer Robert Mark Kamen has two potential projects in the works with Jet Li. As previously reported, one of the projects would have Jet Li playing the part of a Tibetan monk who journeys to New York City only to encounter some of the harsher apects of American modern life.

Kamen reveals how he's approaching the material, saying, "It's not action-action. It has the feel of LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL with action scenes."

At this point, the writer is still toying with the film's title as well. IT could well end up being called A MONK IN NEW YORK or THE MONK AND THE THIEF.

Kamen's other project with Li would involve the often demanded teaming of the action actor with Jackie Chan. Kamen points out that this possible project is only in development stages with neither actor signed, as yet.
