THE INCREDIBLE HULK - Jun 13, 2008 - 06:46am
unfortunately, due to the state of the movie world today and the stupid movie goers - a movie like the Hulk will out shine a better movie (aka The Happening, even though the reviews say it sucks balls) just because of the glorified budget, cast (which is good, but why did they agree to do the Hulk of all things? I might be losing respect for Norton here), the hype, and also the stupid CGI which will make everything look...if I may....queer. Why does the "hulk" part of it have to make him turn into an overly giant huge CGI machine? Can't they do it like they did the show, where he just becomes a bit bigger and the main actor is big to begin with???I have an idea, let's get the puniest guy and then add clothes to him so he doesn't look like he weighs only 145 lbs, and then make him turn into an 8 foot monster weighing 600 lbs. Great idea. Oh, and throw in Tim Roth too (I like him too by the way, just criticizing the movie here) who also weighs maybe 130 lbs wet, and have him morph into a yellow hulk! Oh brother. I smell another HUGE day for CGI at the box office. Boycott!!Go see the Happening or the Strangers.Oh and Ponyboy....what up now!! You've been served.

hey ponyboy76, newsflash, Black Snake Moan sucked!! I agree with the riding the coat tails of Pulp Fiction bit said by jonniej1017. I have thought of him as a money hungry actor that can't say no for about 9 years now. I have this on a spreadsheet where I am tracking items like this, that's how I knew about how long I have been thinking that. Just sucks though because Microsoft keeps changing excel and I have to keep reformatting stuff.

OMG (if I may). I thought this forum was for people who really KNEW movies, esp. SciFi and Horror!! Mostly I'm talking about half the people on this comment section who are totally dissing the old version of this film. The original is the best movie ever! Seriously, I have it as #1 on my list. Have any of you manics ever seen this (1973 version)???? I admit, I have a strange taste in movies, but it was fantastic. And anyone that has an open mind should have thought so as well. I have showed this movie to many people who don't like being freaked out and/or don't even like the "horror" genre, and they are happy that they saw it in the end. Where are the people who like Eraserhead, Bad Taste, and American Psycho...they need to be on here saying this movie rocked! I guess in forums like this you have to deal with people that like movies like Fantastic 4 and the Hulk. I realize this post died in 2007, but maybe, just maybe someone is searching for an update on this movie and will stumble upon this comment section. It's for those people that I want to say, this is going to be the best TRILOGY ever!! Yes, they have announced that it will be a trilogy yet apparently Mania isn't posting about it yet that I've seen. Get on that! It is not a remake!! That makes me happy. What also makes me happy is that Robin Hardy and Christopher Lee are teaming up for this. Per IMDB, Joan Collins has signed up to be the wife of the head island leader (Lee). I could see her being demented and odd. Oh and Cage can blow chunks. That remake, and his acting, are horrible. Yes I own the movie because I am a fan....but c'mon. No singing??? And the plot change with him having relations with one of the people on the island and with the kid etc.??? Just stick with what works. My favorite part in the new movie was the part at the end with James Franco...leading everyone to think they might put together an awful follow-up to the already horrible remake. Geez! Leanu, you just got served!
