I'm guessing after spending a big chiunk of the second movie discovering this new element Iron Man won't be going back to the Circular Arc Reactor...

Maybe the triangular chest light tested badly with audiences?

They all look awesome! I like the more modern look for Cap. Hawkeye's look isn't as spectacular but I think they are missing the glasses. Isn't he wearing some cool looking head gear in the trailer?

Love seeing the SHIELD Helicarrier in the background!!

redvector 7/24/2011 6:59:53 AM

Seeing the Helicarrier and the Avengers quinjet on screen will be freaking awesome. I had sworn off 3D but I just might rethink that for the Avengers.

krathwardroid 7/24/2011 9:55:23 AM

The pictures are nice. I concur that the teaser for The Avengers was awesome.

SarcasticCaveman: Good point about Pirates of the Caribbean. That happens to also be one that Mr. Wise-Avatar didn't like at all. And why? Because it was lackluster, he said? Because Disney should have just stopped after At World's End and let the franchise be, he said? Ragging on Disney in the latter comment, he is. Hypocrite, as always.

Wiseguy 7/24/2011 11:42:38 AM

krath-bitch-droid, I guess you're sticking to your biatch ass attitude. Criticizing a film in general or even the studio for a specific instance isn't the same as criticizing the company that owns the studio blindly like some folk criticze Disney. You little douche, do you understand the difference peanutbrain? And btw I wasn't a huge fan of World's End and I don't remember saying that, maybe I did but for now I'm calling you a lying little ho

Wiseguy 7/24/2011 11:43:29 AM

Just saw the Hulk's poster and let me say it looks all kinds of awesome. It actually looks a lot like the comcs the older ones especially. I can't wait to see how he actually looks on film but if this is their goal I applaud them.

the cap suit looks great , but the wings on his ears should be a bit bigger...and Hawkeye with no mask,i don't like it.

I saw the John Carter preview as well and was impressed. Bold for Disney to go ahead with another franchise.

I have nothing but praise for the House of Mouse. Which is quite the polar opposite of 20 years ago when I was anti-Disney and more pro-Looney Tunes. But over the years, things have changed and I have to say, I think I've sold my soul to Disney.

Having kids and the Disney Princess phase is just the starting point. Pixar came along in the mid-90s and I was suckered in. Also, DIsney makes the best blu-rays in the business. They really take care of their source material and treat it properly. They own ABC which produced one of my all time favorite shows (Lost). They also and enjoyable franchise with the Pirate movies (a step above Haunter Mansion and Country Bears) Then a few years ago, bought Marvel Comics, a company I supported for almost 25 years. I gave that one an entusiastic thumbs up to that acquisition knowing fully well they would treat this property with care like they have with all of their franchises. Then a trip to Disneyworld a few months ago made me empty my wallet to Uncle Walt with absolutely no regrets. Grade A service and fun for all ages at the them park. My only regret was not having the Marvel characters at the theme park (that has something to do with Universal Studios) but in time will be there.

And now they forked over cash to Paramount to distribute Avengers and Iron Man 3. Smart move. They will market the crap out of Avengers and will be the #1 movie of the summer.

Disney rules. (and own my soul)

Oh and Avengers will make boatloads of cash. I was at several social events over the weekend (yes...I go out sometimes) and had chats with the non-geeks but still movie fans about Cap and Avengers. The general consensus was, some liked IM, some liked Cap but didn't like Thor or vice versa. But the one agreement was seeing the Avengers. Some guy said "I wasn't a fan of Thor that much but man, I want to see this team-up. this should be cool". Even my wife and kids whom I took to see Cap. My youngest and my wife both were so-so on Cap. My wife said it was "too WW2" and my kid said it was "to long and not enough action". At least my oldest and I liked it a lot. But, after we saw the Avengers teaser. All of us were "Wow!"

I love Disney Movies, BUT I have a lot of problems with their business practices towrds employees and the questionable history of the founder. (i.e. the alleged anti-semitism).

But I do Love me some Old school Disney movies. I do However think Marvel couldve gotten the Avengers off the ground without Disney. And if you think about it Marvel actually did get the Avengers off the ground by producing TWO fantastic movies starring 2 founding Avengers. The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man.
