I just... sigh... I just cannot buy Rogen as the Hornet. Just not going to happen for me.
As you likely saw on our Mania Live SDCC page, some photos have appeared featuring the Black Beauty, the car driven by Rogen's character in The Green Hornet. Check them out below. Rogen was in attendance and confirmed that Nic Cage was indeed in negotiations to play a villain in the comic film but the deal hasn't been finalized as of yet.
I just... sigh... I just cannot buy Rogen as the Hornet. Just not going to happen for me.
I love the car, I don't know if this movie is going to be made with all of the trouble they have had. This may end up being one of those movies they present at Comic Con and then ceases to exist.

I read an interview with Rogen's writing partner where he says Pineapple Express is one of the greatest films ever. I like Pineapple Express but ain't no way in hell is the greatest at anything. What kind of douchebag refers to something he wrote as the of the greatest?
Even though the film has Rogen which I like, now I kinda want Green Hornet to fail just because of what that douche said.
I loved pineapple express, but for the writer to sit there and say it is one of the greatest films ever made is a bit ridiculous. I am personally a huge fan of Rogen but the GREEN of Green Hornet doesn't represent what Rogen is usually good at exploiting in his films. You know what I'm talking about. A little bit of that pineapple express, ah yeah.
Anyway, I have yet to see a Rogen film I did not like but this will definately test that run
cmon u cant really bash a guy for praising his own work. He's just sarcastically hustling his shit. Im sure he doesnt REALLY think it's the best film EVER. But yea..... this car is the shit! Im w/ everyone else tho in saying Seth rogen does NOT equal the Green Hornet. He's too fat and goofy lookin. >=I

Yes I can bash. Praising your own work is ok I guess, saying it's the greatest thing on Earth, smacks of the guy being a douchebag.
The car? Nice. Seth Rogan in the lead? Not good. Granted, the guy might actually get "shredded" for the Green Hornet part, and actually take it seriously. But, as I don't really see that happening, I can only wonder why he chose this project instead of just playing Tornado Man in a film version of "The Mighty Heroes." Those characters could actually coexist in the same world as did the characters in "The Pineapple Express"...
