SDCC IRON MAN Footage Online Soon

I've said this a few times in the past couple weeks and apparently, director Jon Favreau agrees with everyone's suggestion. The director of next year's IRON MAN has made it clear that HD footage of this year's San Diego Comic Con footage will be online very soon for everyone to see on an official site. Now, if only Warner Bros and a couple more studios could utitlize this theory instead of constantly accusing Youtube of stealing their material and threatening websites with lawsuit notices. Perhaps, Warner Bros will follow suit with providing the Wizard World Chicago Con footage in an official capacity very soon.

Director Favreau has the right idea in any case...

I hear you all loud and clear. You want to see the footage that we brought to SDCC. Why not post it in HD instead of having everyone download a grainy bootleg? I agree. I am trying to get a version out to you ASAP. This is a big movie, however, and it takes time to get the proper approvals from all parties involved.

I am happy to report that both Marvel and Paramount have agreed to get a version of the footage out to you very soon. I will report the specifics when I get them. Thanks for your enthusiasm and patience.

When the footage hits online, I'll let you know...

IRON MAN hits theaters everywhere on May 2, 2008.

well this is good. I saw some of the footage from SDCC07 up on youtube but not the picture thats posted above. The footage I saw mostly featured the Mark 1 grey suit plus Tony Stark in the traditional red and Yellow suit outflying two F-14s in the sky. the footage looked really ...REALLY good.

I wonder if Iron Man will drug himself up and climb into a little girl's bed for a snooze...

jokes aside, I am looking forward to this movie.

I haven't seen any of this footage yet so I am definitely looking forward to checking this out. I don't know much about Iron Man's mythology beyond the basics, but everything that Favreau has said about his technique in putting the movie together has me intrigued. I didn't even think he was the right guy to make this movie since his background had nothing to do with action or sci-fi at all, but he seems to love the material and the character so I am on board.

The footage I saw was awesome. Jon is really seducing the fanboys. That's a good thing because even if he lets us down (which I don't think he will) he still treated us right. Favreau is an actor's director who can also tell a great story. And Downey, what can I say he is one of the few real actors out there. With him and Norton out of the running for the possible Dr. Strange movie - I suggest one name...Depp.

This is great news...and I love the fact that he's playing up to everyone's wishes....plus the fact that he himself has seen the grainy image that's circulating....WHEN this gets a sequel added...please let Favreau stay at the helm...
