Thespian Robert Pattinson is no novice for going against the "Dark Arts", having faced Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Now, the actor is set to live within the world of that dark underworld while also having to juggle adolescent love and the taste for blood. The actor is leading the adaptation of the highly popular young-adult vampire novel series Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer's novels.

Pattinson will be co-starring alongside Kristen Stewart, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Cam Cigandet, Kellan Lutz, Anna Kendrick and Taylor Lautner. Director Catherine Hardwicke is leading the adaptation for Summit Entertainment.

Our good friends over at  the UGO Movie Blog had a chance to talk about his upcoming role in the Cullen family at the San Diego Comic-Con. Click right here to see what Pattinson had to say to UGO's Evil Adam.

Plot Summary: "Twilight" is an action-packed, modern day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Edward can run faster than a mountain lion, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands – and he hasn't aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he's immortal. But he doesn't have fangs, and he doesn't drink human blood; Edward and his family are unique among vampires in their lifestyle choice. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for – a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens' mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her? Based on the Stephenie Meyer book.

Twilight will hit theaters Dec. 12, 2008.

The original story gets quite feral, which is vampire heaven,... but If the movie focuses on the "teen drama" it can take away much essence. No CW here please.

I was there and i almost walked out.. not cuz of the movie but Hall H was full of girl teenagers screaming ever time some of the actors spoke or when they showed up on screen.
Its was torture at its purest.

Only reason i stayed is cuz i like Kristen.
