Electro is cool but I really wish he was goin to be Shocker. Shocker is a better character in general as well as a better villain. But Electro is cool. But I don't really see him as the main baddy of the movie so I hope they have him as henchmen sort of situation. Maybe for Green Goblin/Osborn? That would be awesome.
At least this puts to rest the rumor of the "animal" related villains linked to Spidey.
Rumor had it, Vulture, Rhino and Scorpion were to be in the movie as they were affected by genetics/animal crossgene like Peter/spider and Connors/Lizard. I think a lot of fanboys reacted negativily to that plot.
At Elbaz that's what they did for the game: Using hybrid Rhino and Scorpion, etc. But I've read that Electro still will be rooted in scientific techonology.
I don't know why I hate Jamie Foxx so much, if it's the beady little eyes or that he looks mentally handicapped or just him, but I just do.
Well I did sort of like him in The Kingdom so maybe I can get past that.
Just glad to see new villains for Spidey and let the whole Green Goblin subplot develop in the background, assuming that's the case. But building towards a Sinister Six would be cool too

I'm not too sure it's going to be Electro though. Just because they announce Jamie Foxx and that he's electrifying...it sounds more like he wants to get him. I dunno. Sounds like people are reading too much into it. Maybe I'm wrong.

Really? the videogame? But didn't Sony want to use that as a basis for #2? Especially the whole science aspect and how Peter's dad 'groomed" him to be Spiderman. Again...I hope not. I don't mind origin tweaking to make it more modern but nort too much change.
I do agree the Electro costume is a product of its time. The colorful 60s. Doesn't translate well on the biig screen. The Ultimate version is better. But, if they can honor the crappy old costume, it's always fun. I like the way Captain America did that in First Avenger.
As for Jamie Foxx. Yeah, his eyes freak me out. Just check sketches of his Wanda character on In Living Color. ugh!
I like it and normally I do not like it when producers and directors screw around with costumes, but by all means please feel free to lose the dumb lightning mask. Hopefully this is the first piece of the Sinister 6!
