A day after revealing their first clip for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks and director Michael Bay have unleashed a second clip. Yesterday's scene involved lead star Shia LaBeouf while today's action focuses on his co-star Josh Duhamel, who's back as Lt. Colonel William Lennox. Watch the second clip down below.

The studio has also revealed they're moving up the release date two days from its previous Friday premiere to Wednesday, June 29, 2011. As Maniacs know, quite a few summer tent poles have been inserted into Wednesday openings, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen being one of them.

The action film also stars Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro and Leonard Nimoy. Helmer Bay returned to the director's chair, based on a screenplay by Ehren Kruger.

Plot Concept: The story features Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime. The film centers around the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets. Shockwave will be taking over the reigns of the main villain this time around.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon invades 3D/2D/IMAX theaters June 29, 2011.

Thanks to Wiseguy for the submission.

Looks like a lot of fun. Count me in.

Why did some of them have breathing masks attached to their helmets for a dangerously low altitude drop?  That's just stupid. No soldier wants to carry equipment into battle that he couldn't possibly need.

ddiaz28 5/20/2011 7:28:58 AM

If you look carefully, that's just a piece of the helmet, not a breathing aparatus.  There's no tubes or anything leading from it.  Some of the guys don't even have anything on their faces.

This sequence looks pretty bad ass.  Guess Bay is saving clips of the actual transformers for later.

ddiaz, he probably still working on makeing them look right... LOL

From what I have seen so far looks good but then again the trailers for the second transformers looked kick ass also and look what we got...The female lead in this movie looks like a step up as far as acting and more depth to her character than we got with Megan Fox then again my thoughts are based on just a few mins worth of clips...Heres hoping for the best in any case...

Clip and trailers rarely reveal that which can harm a movie most; BAD WRITING.  Of course this won't affect Transformers.  I mean, Transforers: Dark of the Moon.  The title alone makes me confident that some high quality wordsmiths have been turned loose on this bad boy.  In fact, as I understand it, you'll be able to synch up this movie with The Wizard of Oz and it'll blow your mind because you'll find yourself actually watching a good movie.  I'm sure it won't cause the unfortunate side effects that exposure to Revenge of the Fallen did.  No way they would make another movie that has been proven to cause rectal bleeding.  Right?

Wildstar 5/20/2011 10:52:39 AM

Oh my god, this movie looks horrible! How the hell can you put out 2 consecutive clips of a TRANSFORMERS movie without even 1 single robot on screen. WTF? I want to see robots fighting, not bad human actors. There shouldn't even be humans in this movie. Good god, I guess I'll just have to wait for the reboot.

Wiseguy 5/20/2011 11:11:54 AM

We already saw some badass robot action from the second trailer. I'm all for them holding back on all the action til the film comes out. Just tease the public. I've already read and heard enough from people that got early views of the action and all agree that it is major league awesomeness. So feel free to stay home that opening weekend, I don't like crowded theaters anyway.

But this just screams for 3D, can't freaking wait to see it in I-Max
