Just a few days after revealing their first TV spot during the NBA Finals, Lionsgate has unleashed a second ad for their upcoming revision of Conan the Barbarian. Check it out in the video player down below. The adventure stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, Steve O'Donnell, Raad Rawi Fassir, Nonso Anozie, Bob Sapp and Milton Welsh. Helmer Nispel was behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Thomas Dean Donnelly, Joshua Oppenheimer and Sean Hood.

Plot Concept: The most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this Summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination - in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds- Conan's exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film. A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

Conan the Barbarian slays 3D/2D theaters on August 19, 2011.

Maybe its just me,  but I always pronounced it co-nan as in nantucket,  but since conan o'brian (conin) everyone seems to be saying it conin.

I guess I pronounced both syllables as if they were prominent, and now a days,  its just COnin and not CO NAN!

I only hope is R rated, no blood on a Conan movie is just lame.

 Conan the O'Brien?

Oh, yes, horcruxx, let there be blood.

This looks pretty good. I agree with you robcoch, better than the trailer did

"Conan's hair was covered in so much of his enemies blood, he looked like a ginger freak..."

Conan The O'Brien, Robert E. Howard, 1932.

Yeah they are going R for theatres and HARD R for DVD i think...

I think with the modern pornounciation (Con-in) they are trying to get away from the Arnie films a bit more, which used the Con-An pronounciation...

The movie does look good.

Still looks like crap to me. I get the feeling we'll see a fairly articulate barbarian this time around, which turns me off as well.  To me, lines like "I don't want your kingdom....I want your head."  are just way too gimmicky for Conan, and I bet this movie is full of them. I try to find something remotely interesting in each of the trailers or tv spots they show, but not one thing looks good to me. I really, really hope I am wrong. It would be nice to see this turn out good, but I think it will be one of the worst movies of the summer. So I ask...Krom, bring us a good Conan movie. One with buckets of blood. One with an interesting story. One that doesn't look like a Syfy original. And if you do not listen...then to Hell with you!

I can not wait. I think it looks totally awesome, it has that middling look of a B movie that I think it suits this. Momoa will be great by Crom I swear it
