Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Productions have revealed a second full-length trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the rapidly approaching 3D sequel in their blockbuster franchise. Check it out below and sound off with your thoughts.
This fourth look into Captain Jack Sparrow's adventure brings back Johnny Depp with co-stars Geoffrey Rush, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Kevin R. McNally, Astrid Berges-Frisbey and Sam Claflin. Incoming director Rob Marshall took over the direction based on a screenplay by returning franchise writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio.
Plot Concept: Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penelope Cruz), Sparrow's not sure if it's love—or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the "Queen Anne's Revenge," the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides sails into 3D/2D/IMAX theaters May 20, 2011.
This looks much better than the last Pirates movie. The cast is great, especially McShane. The best part is that there's no Knightly or Bloom; they really dragged down the second and especially the third Pirate films. I could care less about the 3D crap.
This trailer got the rest of the grimy taste of the third movie (at least, the part with Will and Elizabeth) out of my mouth. I like it.
mmmm...... mermaids......I would definitely eat that sushi with some wasabi anyday.
Oh God. here we go. Now everyone is hating on the past 3 BRILLIANT Priate movies. Oh well. I guess you cant expect too much from fanboys. I love the last three and I can't wait to see this one. You guys are such tools.
I just want to hear one line in the film: "Sparrow! You COCKSUKER!!!"
Looks good, the 3D looked good in the trailer that was shown with Tron. I am excited to see this.
The first Pirates was great. The second was ok. The third was absolutely dreadful. This one looks pretty good, I must say, however, I don't have any hopes for the planned sequels to this movie.
