Another comedic filmmaker has come on board the long in-development 'Green Hornet' projects, says the Hollywood Reporter.
Seth Rogen, he of 'Knocked Up' and '40 Year Old Virgin' fame, along with writing partner Evan Goldberg are in final negotiations to co-write and co-exec produce 'The Green Hornet' for Columbia Pictures. Strangely enough, Rogen may also be cast in the lead role. Presumably the movie is being played for laughs.
The film being produced by Neal H. Moritz. Other details are scarce but filmmakers say the movie will be "in the tradition of the Green Hornet."
Rogen and Goldberg are responsible for the upcoming 'Superbad', which is already garnering positive buzz after a series of screenings.
