Screenwriter John Cox has turned in his script for 'Sgt. Rock' and is now answering question about casting. The only definite there is that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be in the movie.
For many years Schwarzenegger had been attached to the lead role, in spite of the fact that his ever-present Austrian accent made him an unlikely choice for the all-American Rock.
Cox tells IGN that the script was not written with any specific actor in mind (unlike previous scripts which had to explain the actor's enunciation). According to the report, producer Joel Silver is taking the project out to actors and directors.
