THis is stupid! Last I remeber the stories were about SH using his detective skills to firgure stuff out not about using Kungfu skills to beat up thugs! WHy don't they just change the name of this to Batgins Begins the preprepreprepreprepreprepreprequel!

Actually the original books had Holmes as way more of a cold calculating character who liked the ladies, drinking and had a thirst for action.  I like the look of the movie, can't wait til december.

Yeah, and I don't think he's exactly using "kungfu skills" from looking at the trailer.  Why wouldn't a guy that's a genius and expertly read on every subject in the freakin' world, know how to box?  This is one of the coolest figures in the last 200 years of literature and it's been a long time since he's appeared in film.  There is a ton of material here for multiple films if this does well.

Side note: The Sherlock Holmes comic by Alan Moore's daughter is pretty entertaining as well and everyone should definitely check it out.
