Hold onto your dumplings or else they might wind up on the floor. And that can be the start of either a fight, or a beautiful "friendship." Well, that's the world of Koihime Musou.

What They Say
During the last years of Han Dynasty, the world was filled with chaos and disorder. Three girls, Ryubi, Kan'u, and Chohi pledge to be blood-sisters in order to settle this world. After overcoming many hardships, they were finally able to bring back peace. However, a new evil creeps into their momentary peace. The battles of Muso girls are about to start once again.

The Review!
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
For those who did not think that they had enough rampant large-breasted lesbians among the cast, this episode intends to compensate for that as we are introduced to Gien, a tall, large breasted swordswoman who has two-tone hair. While Batai, Rin Rin, Koumei and Ryuubi are walking along minding their own business, Gien comes out of nowhere and knocks into Batai, making her drop her dumplings on a stick onto the ground. Childish Batai, of course, throws a fit and starts a fight with Gien. Gien, however, is more skilled than Batai, and manages to defeat her. But, Rin Rin comes between them and drives back Gien furiously. Rin Rin manages to disarm Gien, but only because Gien catches sight of Ryuubi and blushes intensely. We all know what that signals in anime.

Before Rin Rin lands a finishing blow, however, another even larger breasted woman comes along. While she looks suspicious, she turns out to be Gien's master, Gengan, who was looking for her wayward subordinate. She treats the gang to some more dumplings on a stick in order to apologize for Gien's behavior. She then invites them all back to her palace (she also happens to be the local ruler), and decides that Gien needs some more punishment. Cue erotic tickling (mainly off screen).

At Gengan's palace, Ryuubi decides to take a bath (let's see, it's been a couple episodes, so yes another bath is in order). Gien volunteers to scrub her back. That is a nice gesture. Then she offers, unsolicited, to wash her front. Ryuubi, naturally, passes out, and Gengan punishes Gien by hanging her upside down. Gengan then explains that whenever Gien meets a woman who looks like her late elder sister, she acts strangely. Apparently Ryuubi has the same shape of face and firmness of breasts. Of course.

The next day Gien starts a fight with Batai, but it is stopped by Gengan again, who this time places a serious restraint on her fighting. Basically, the next time she fights without permission, their relationship as master and student will be at an end.

The girls go out on the town the next day, where Gengan turns out to be a champion eater, just the kind of friend that Rin Rin likes. She's also found of betting on the horses, and the gang notes that Bachou would have loved to have been there. Ryuubi (who watches her figure), Koumei and Batai (neither of whom have Rin Rin's limitless stomach), decide to skip out on the tour of dining places, and instead head off elsewhere. Ryuubi, of course, gets distracted by some cute chicks (literal chicks, baby chickens here people), and gets separated. As she wanders around, she happens upon Gien, who is being surrounded by a group of thugs whom she has beaten up several times before. Ryuubi comes to help, but she's unarmed and useless as usual. Useless, except for getting felt up by the brigands (is that her whole purpose in the franchise? One does wonder...). Gien, though reluctant, draws her sword, disobeying her orders from Gengan. She defeats the bandits, of course.

However, she still disobeyed orders and comes before Gengan. Ryuubi has already explained the situation, but what is done is done. Gengan no longer accepts Gien as her student. But she notes, however, that Gien has now learned that one should only use one's power and strength to protect others, not just on aimless brawling.

As the group departs, you can tell that Gien wants to accompany them. Gengan notices as well and encourages Gien to take responsibility for herself from this point forward. She pushes her former pupil to join the travelers. So, we can add yet another potential lesbian pairing to the mix. On top of the hundred-whatever other ones.

In Summary:
So, we are introduced to a new character, Gien, who likes to brawl, is well endowed, and cannot stand up to tickling very well. She is a skilled fighter, but she does not know when it is best to show that skill and when not to do so. Her master Gengan eventually shows her the way. And so, another girl is added to what is already an impossibly large and hard to keep straight cast of 1000 girls (I swear it will reach that number at some point). Lesbian fondling, tickle humor, overeating and baths (don't forget one of the three major elements of this show) all make an appearance. If that's your thing, you'll enjoy this episode. If it's not, I don't expect that you are still reading these reviews, hoping that the show will morph into something that it is not.
