What They Say
During the last years of Han Dynasty, the world was filled with chaos and disorder. Three girls, Ryubi, Kan'u, and Chohi pledge to be blood-sisters in order to settle this world. After overcoming many hardships, they were finally able to bring back peace. However, a new evil creeps into their momentary peace. The battles of Muso girls are about to start once again.

The Review!
So, Kan'u finally makes it to the Kingdom of Wu to visit the Son family and see if she can get whatever it was again she was going to ask from them, something that will help to cure Kashin (as if anyone remembers at this point).

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
So, Kan'u has arrived in Wu, and was received very hospitably by the Son Sisters. They were particularly grateful for the help she gave to the youngest Son, Sonshoukou, during her mission.

As usual, we have our 1 minute Bachou and Chouun comedy routine. Now back to our regular show.

But things are tense in the throne room. Sonsaku and Shuuyu seem to be having some sort of lover's quarrelâ¦erâ¦I mean they appear to be distancing themselves for the moment, creating a rather scary aura in the main hall of the Son Family. In the meantime, they gladly grant Kan'u's request for some of the Koutou pills, the item needed as part of the antidote to the Cat Girl Disease that Kashin suffers from. The problem is that they don't know exactly where the pills are at the moment, so Sonken has sent her aide Ryomou Shimei to find them in the vast labyrinths of the Son Family warehouses.

Oh, here we go. Bring on the steam. Yes, there is a bath scene, but since we have women with sizable assets involved, not the little children who got a little too much bath screen time at times before, we have large sections of the screen in steam.

It seems that this current divergence of opinion between Sonsaku and Shuuyu could pose a potential threat to the harmony of the state. So, it appears that Kougai, who is an old family retainer (though don't say old), takes it upon herself to discover the root cause of the dispute. After the aforesaid bath massage for Sonken, and a drinking bout with Shuuyu, it emerges that the cause of the breakup was a dispute over a special bottle of liquor that Shuuyu had bought, but Sonken apparently drank without asking first.

Enough drama for the moment. It's time for a Cat Petting Break. If you like cute girls and cats, you'll like this part.

Then, it appears that Kougai has fallen deathly ill. Even though Shuuyu is fighting a major hangover, she rushes to Kougai's bedside. There, Kougai asks her to go to the storehouse and bring out a special pot of rice wine that Kougai had first brewed the day that Sonsaku was born. It is a special brew, and she would like to taste it before her death. Shuuyu goes to the storehouse, only to discover the Sonsaku is already there. It appears that she too was informed of Kougai's state, and asked to get the pot of liquor.

It is at this point that the door to the storeroom is closed from the outside and bolted shut. Of course, it was all a trick on Kougai's part to get the two together in a close space, where they could talk out their differences and problems. Of course, they do eventually make up, and it is revealed that the special bottle of orange liqueur that Shuuyu had ordered and which Sonsaku drank without permission was meant to be drunk by the two of them together to mark a very special event ten years ago. It was apparently the day they pledged themselves to each otherâ¦or something like that.

Well, they make up, and thenâ¦they make up. As we learn the next morning, when Sonken takes Kan'u to the same storehouse, as it appears the Koutou Pills are kept in there. Upon entering, of course, they discover a sight that will certainly make yuri fans get into a lather, if you're into that sort of thing.

So, with the pills in her possession, Kan'u heads on her way back to Touka Village, the first of the three expeditions to be successful.

In Summary:
This episode was all about drinking and lesbian sex. Sure, there was some strategy involved, but it was strategy trying to determine how to bring about hot lesbian sex (not that you'll actually see anything). If you like that, this will surely be one of the highlights for you. If you're not into that stuff, you'll likely be bored, as I was for much of the episode. But at least there was a kitty.
