Looks like we might actually see some plot development this time! Will wonders never cease? It would appear that the oppressive Central Government may have angered one too many of the regional warlords. And yes, there will be breasts as well.
What They Say
During the last years of Han Dynasty, the world was filled with chaos and disorder. Three girls, Ryubi, Kan'u, and Chohi pledge to be blood-sisters in order to settle this world. After overcoming many hardships, they were finally able to bring back peace. However, a new evil creeps into their momentary peace. The battles of Muso girls are about to start once again.

Things are looking very grim in the Imperial Capital (which should be Luoyang at this point, if history mattered), as it appears that the Empire is under the thumb of the vile eunuch Choujou. It would appear that there is also unrest among Toutaku's subordinates, as they do not take well to being little more than agents of the oppressive Choujou. In this rather imaginative retelling of the actual history, Toutaku (Dong Zhou) is the captive of the eunuch Choujou, but is the one being blamed for the tyrannical actions of the Imperial Government, which is bleeding the people dry in order to amass wealth for Choujou, who has deliberately stayed quiet in the shadows since the downfall of Kashin.
Back at Touka Village, the entire gang is reunited, as all twenty billion (okay, a slight exaggeration) girls in Ryuubi's "faction" have gathered. We get a tearful reunion of Rin Rin with Aisha (Kan'u), and a family reunion of Bachou and Batai. The little Nanban horde is here as well, admiring the very large busts on display among several of Ryuubi's followers.
And so Kashin returns, having taken on an insufferably cute little catgirl appearance, and the antidote, which has been prepared, is taken. The antidote is not 100% effective, however, as the cat ears remain, even if her rather fulsome body is restored to her (she had begun to shrink to cat size quite a bit). Upon her restoration, the Kind of Nanban, Moukaku, claims Kashin's boobs for herself, with competition from her breast-obsessed followers.
That does not change anything back in the capital, however, as it is now revealed what is really going on. The evil eunuch Choujou is in league with the bad guy we saw in Shin Koihime Musou before, the sorcerer (Ukitsu) who stole the magical book the "Crucial Keys," the one that the Yellow Hair Ribbons, I mean, Yellow Turbans had been using. Now, Choujou is deliberately oppressing the populace, in order to feed their despair and rage into the magical book in order to give her power (note: the translation, and I must assume the original, call Choujou a "she," though I have never heard of a female eunuch before).
The title of the episode finally comes into play now, as a message is brought to Enshou, one of the warlords of late Han China, ordering her, in Toutaku's name, to come and prostrate herself before the Emperor for failing to eradicate some bandits or other promptly enough. We know that this is actually Choujou's doing, but Enshou decides that enough is enough and orders her lackeys to send word to the other warlords that Enshou will raise an army and march upon the capital in order to put down Toutaku (this, by the way, is actual history, as a coalition of warlords marched upon Luoyang in 190 in order to attempt to put down Dong Zhou). Sousou immediately answers the call and prepares her armies, having her own ulterior motives, as does Sonsaku in the Kingdom of Wu (Koutou).
Back in the capital (called "Rakuyu" at this point, but then what is "Chuugen" they keep on referring to? Well, it's hard to keep characters' names straight in this show, so why should locations be any easier?), Choujou learns of the revolt and is furious. She discusses the defense with Kaku, Toutaku's chief advisor.
Even back at Touka Village, the Liu Banner (Liu is Ryuubi's and the Han Imperial Family's last name) is raised and her army also mobilizes, though they have Kashin in tow, who wishes to see if she can restore her power within the Imperial Court. Kan'u expresses her doubts that Toutaku could be the tyrant that she is painted as, since she has met Toutaku and seen the other side of her. Ryuubi expresses her agreement, based solely on the fact that she has faith in Kan'u. And while Bachou wonders where Batai is, as she does not appear to be there to see them off, Rin Rin is all intent on a giant box marked "bento" (lunch box) yet again. Koumei shakes her head, knowing what's inside.
Well, they actually had some plot development and action this time around.
It would seem that the writing staff decided it was about time to introduce the lead up to what could be a major set piece battle and get the plot in motion as Enshou, in defiance of the evil eunuch Choujou, who is using Toutaku as a cover for her tyranny, raises a revolt among the warlords of late Han China against Toutaku. Sousou and her Lesbian Army, Sonsaku, and even Ryuubi are pulled into joining a large and powerful coalition that intends to march on the Imperial Capital in order to put down Toutaku. We, of course, know who the real villains are, and it will be interesting to see how they handle the coming confrontation. And yes, there were breasts as well in this episode.
