DESTRO from G.I. JOE - May 07, 2008 - 08:25pm
It seems like the mask is going to be more of an homage to the cartoon than a staple of this movie's version of Destro. I don't mind this choice since it would be extremely difficult to have any connection to him if he runs around in a metal mask all the time, especially if he is playing the villian with the most screen time. You wouldn't get to see any of his emotions or reactions either. In fact I can't imagine a more boring bad guy than some dude in silver mask. Personally, I'll withold judgment until I see the film.
Del Toro Talks About HOBBIT Films - Apr 28, 2008 - 02:45pm
Man, I am so happy Guillermo del Toro is directing this. If I could have hand picked anyone besides P.J. it would be him. He sounds like he really knows the LotR mythos and I would love it if they found some way to reunite all the major cast members. My idea: "The Hobbit" film opens up with Bilbo at his own "going away" party right before he and Frodo leave for the Gray Havens and all of the surviving Fellowship are there as Bilbo begins rambling on and actually narrates the how he met Gandalf and became the company's "burglar." I guess we'll see though.
Dresden Files: Small Favor - Apr 15, 2008 - 05:00pm
You guys realize this has already been adapted as a TV series by Sci-Fi, right? Unfortunatley it only lasted one season and was canceled. Sad too, because the show actually pretty good.
