SHREK 3 & 4 a go

Cast in talks to reprise their characters

After the amazing performance of SHREK 2 at the box office this past weekend, to no one's suprise DreamWorks director of animation has confirmed that the studio wants to make SHREK 3 and SHREK 4 happen. "It wasn't really advisable to start working on three and four until we knew that we actually had something in two, and certainly this weekend confirmed that we do," DreamWorks' Ann Daly told The Hollywood Reporter.

The studio is in negotiations to get Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas back in the third outing. Previously Jeffrey Katzenberg, one of DreamWorks' three founders, told the press that SHREK 4 would show us how the grouchy green ogre came to be living in the swamp at the first film.
