Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith have found the rest of a fictional family for their next on-screen adventure. THR is reporting that Zoe Kravitz (X-Men: First Class) and Sophie Okonedo are being courted to play Smith's daughter and wife, respectively, in M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming sci-fi epic, 1000 A.E. With production expected to start soon, director Shyamalan will be leading the project based on a script he wrote with Stephen Gaghan and Gary Whitta.

Plot Concept: Will and Jaden Smith are set to star as a father and son who crash-land on Earth one thousand years after mankind has abandoned the planet. The crash leaves the elder Smith badly injured, and it's up to the boy to find help in what is now a strange and dangerous place.

1,000 A.E. crashes into theaters June 7, 2013.

Smith owns in sci fi films but Shyamalan?  Unbreakable was his only film that had any lasting appeal for me.

Why not the whole smith family - was the daughter to young?

Is it actually possible this film could be Shyamalan's return to grace given he isn't the sole writer this time?

cool concept but Shyamalan's involvement worries me

Yeah no kidding.  What's going to happen?  He's gonna find a planet filled with Apes and find out he actually crash landed on Earth 1000 years into the future?  I'm calling it.  :)

 M. Night doesn't give up, huh?  The revealing in his last two efforts as Director weren't good at all, evening though the acting was spot on.  That's not great.  I'm certainly hoping that he finds that touch he had in Signs.  The Sixth Sense, while it was a masterpiece, is also a curse.  Are we expecting too much after such an amazing film?

Also, I'm pretty sure that's Josh Brolin in that pic, not Tommy Lee Jones.

Sounds like a Trek episode with Wesley and Picard
