When it comes to premium figures and collectibles, the company you have to think about first is Sideshow and they certainly have not disappointed by what they showed at Toy Fair that will be available in the next several months. From Sci-Fi to Superhero and from Horror to the Old West, Sideshow has a diverse range of fantastic new figures on the horizon. Let’s take a closer look at a few of them!

Weighing in at ten pounds and measuring 16”H x 14”W x 16” D is Queen Alien Polystone Diorama. Cast in high-quality, heavyweight polystone and then hand-painted, the Queen Alien will be individually hand-numbered. $399.99

From Star Wars Episode IV comes the Obi-Wan Kenobi - 'Sabotage' Diorama. Here we have Obi-Wan locating the Death Star’s power core in order to shut off the tractor beam and allow the Millennium Falcon to escape. The dimensions are 12”H x 9”W x 8”D and it weighs 6 lbs. The diorama scene can be removed from the tabletop display base and mounted on a wall for an alternate display, and features an LED light-up function in the Reactor Core for added authenticity. Each diorama is cast in high-quality, heavyweight polystone, then hand-finished to exacting detail. Each piece is individually hand-numbered. $159.99.

Behold the terrifying majesty of the planet-devouring Galactus with the Galactus
Legendary Scale Bust. The piece comes with the Silver Surfer accessory, amply showing how the great Galactus dwarfs the Surfer in size. This huge piece stands 21”H and weighs 15 lbs. It is cast in polystone and hand-painted. $249.99. This piece will come in both standard, and exclusive, limited edition varieties. The exclusive edition will be limited to 150 pieces and come with a Galactus nameplate.

The X-Men come alive in the Spiral VS Psylocke Diorama. This gorgeous piece features Psylocke leaping into battle against the multi-armed villain. This is the latest in Sideshow’s line of Marvel Comics collectibles. There will be two editions of this piece, a regular version and a limited, exclusive version. The exclusive edition will be limited to only 350 pieces, each hand-numbered and feature an additional set of switch-out arms for Psylocke with energy blade weapons. It weighs 12 lbs and measures 14”H x 12”W x 9”L. The paint job on this pieces is really phenomenal! This is also cast in polystone. $234.99.

Continuing Sideshow’s outstanding line of maquettes comes X-23. This huge figure stands 18” tall and weighs 5 lbs. X-23’s Adamantium laced claws are ready for action. She comes on an “X” displace base. $199.99

Back in December, I brought you a look at Sideshow’s The Dead series of zombie figures. Coming soon is the figure that that is groundzero in the zombie plague, Patient Zero. While those were 12” articulated figures, Patient Zero is a premium format design, cast in polystone and featuring real fabric clothes. It stands 17.5” tall and weighs 7 lbs. I love the way this figure’s body twists as it shambles forward towards its prey. $274.99.

Sideshow is the top dog in this field. But you have to be ready to order as soon as they become available, especially if you want the exclusive versions. Otherwise you're at the mercy of retailers or e-bay sellers who are quick to inflate the prices. I missed the X-23 Ex. and now I'm on their Waitlist as I am for Conan and King Leonidas.
