The Review!
Audio
I've watched this disc in both English and Japanese languages. The Japanese language is excellent, voices fit the characters, the soundtrack is great and fits the mood. While the English language on the other hand was not as good, some characters didn't seem to give much emotion, and I don't know if it is just me, but the soundtrack seems to be a little lower than in the Japanese language.

Video
The animation is really nice, but sometimes it seems inconsistent and washed out in some areas. It is still a lot better than some series I've seen before.

Packaging
A great cover for the discs. It has Katsumi on front with Rally in the background. The reverse cover has Nami on it.

Extras
Other than trailers and a textless opening, there is nothing. The only reason I gave this release a B- on extras is because of the mini comic and mini poster that comes with this release.

Menu
Cool, but confusing.

Content (may contain SPOILERS)
The series starts out in 1999 with a distaster happening, then the opening credits kick off, and we are into the year 2024. There is a police force called AMP (Attack Mystification Police), who specialize in dismembering a group of creatures called the Lucifer Hawk. Most of the main characters are introduced in this volume, Rally, Katsumi, Mana, Nami, Kiddy, Yuki, Lebia, Roy, Ralph, and Grospoilner. Also, the second disc goes into detail on Kiddy's and Nami's past. While these episodes are a little slow at times, it gets things going, and it is great. Especially the last few episodes when Grospoilner is introduced. I highly recommend this vol to people looking for some great fun. Even people who love romance will love the romance between Kiddy and Ralph, and Katsumi and Roy, which will play out to even greater things later on.
