Has the 'Wonder Woman' movie stalled? Or are producer Joel Silver's vague comments being misinterpreted?
IGN is reporting this week that, at the 'Speed Racer' junket, Silver made comments to them that made the project seem as if it were mostly dead. "I'm not sure if it will happen; I don't know yet. I mean I have the rights to it for a while, but I just hope that one day I can find a way to make it," Silver is quoted as saying. Indeed IGN is running the story under the banner "Wonder Woman Stalls".
However, at the very same press event, Silver told a different story to other websites.
Silver told IESB.net that the project was still being actively developed and screenwriters Matthew Jennison and Brent Strickland are hard at work on the script.
Silver went on to detail his current vision for the film to SCI FI Wire.
So while the movie may be stuck where it has been for ten years, in development hell, it's not clear that Silver thinks it is more stalled now than it was six months ago.
