Silver Sandtrooper special at Comic Con

In past year's attendees at the Comic Con International have had the chance to purchase exclusive items not available in stores or to be the first to pick them up. This year's Comic Con will be no exception, and one of the first exclusives offered has just been announced: Hasbro's Silver Saga Edition Sandtrooper.

Modeled after the stormtroopers seen in the desert scenes in EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE, the Sandtrooper action figure will be on sale at the various STAR WARS booths on the convention floor. A limit of just two figures per person will be ordered, with con badges punched to ensure that the limit is kept to each person. While the figures will be sold throughout the duration of the con, the official STAR WARS website is also reporting that it's possible some of the Silver Sandtrooper figures will be sold in the future at "future events".

The action figure will be sold for $10 each. Comic Con International runs from July 22 to July 25 in San Diego.
